70th CLIMMAR Congress in Hamburg (2024)

On 23–24 October 2024, the 70th CLIMMAR Congress was held in Hamburg, organized by the German association LandBauTechnik. The Association of Agricultural Machinery Importers (SDZT) was represented by Tomáš Kvapil, Chairman, and Martin Jurkovič, Secretary General.

The congress program focused on the exchange of experiences among European associations of dealers and importers of agricultural machinery. During the presidential reports from the member countries, it was emphasized that most states are currently facing a decline in agricultural machinery sales, a trend also evident on the Czech market.

Key topics discussed included the implementation of the European Data Act, data sharing and usage in agriculture, trends in distribution networks, and preparations for Agritechnica 2025.

The congress concluded with a gala evening and a social program in the center of Hamburg.

The participation of SDZT demonstrates the active involvement of Czech importers in the European debate on the future direction of the industry and strengthens the position of the Czech Republic within this international association.
